Syhunt Hybrid 7.2 introduces Authenticator 2.0 and major platform enhancements

Syhunt is proud to announce the release of Syhunt Hybrid 7.2. This release marks a major milestone for Syhunt Hybrid, delivering significant advancements across authenticated scanning, web-based operations, scan management, and cross-platform support. A centerpiece of this release is the introduction of Syhunt Authenticator 2.0, a complete redesign of the authentication framework that simplifies configuration while expanding support for modern authentication scenarios, including login sequence recording. Building on the foundation established by previous releases, the update further modernizes the platform, improves visibility into ongoing assessments, and expands testing capabilities for today's increasingly complex applications.

"This is not only the next major update following last year's September release, which introduced API scanning capabilities, but likely one of the most important releases in Syhunt's last decade," said Felipe Daragon, Chief Visionary Officer (CVO) of Syhunt. "The amount of work invested in modernizing the platform, redesigning authentication testing, improving usability, and unifying functionality across Windows, Linux, and macOS makes this a transformative release for both existing and new customers."

Authenticator 2.0

Version 7.2 introduces Syhunt Authenticator 2.0, a complete redesign of Syhunt Dynamic's authentication framework. All authentication methods are now managed through a unified module and configuration interface, simplifying setup and maintenance. New authentication methods include Recorder (that replays a login sequence previously recorded using Edge, Chrome, or another Chromium-based browser), Manual (through the new Syhunt Sandcat browser extension), Smart, Selenium-Auto, and Selenium-JS, while the legacy Selenium-Python authentication has been retired. The result is a more streamlined, secure, and capable authentication experience fully integrated into the scanning workflow. Read more
