Syhunt Hybrid 7.1.6 adds support for macOS Sequoia on Apple Silicon

We’re pleased to announce that Syhunt Hybrid 7.1.6 is now officially compatible with macOS Sequoia running on Apple Silicon. While the Carbon version of Syhunt Hybrid — built for macOS using Wine — has long supported Intel-based Macs, this release ensures seamless operation on Apple Silicon devices via Rosetta 2, covering Sequoia and earlier macOS versions.

Apple Silicon includes the M1 to M4 chip families, which require Rosetta 2 to run Intel-based apps. With Rosetta 2 enabled, Syhunt Hybrid 7.1.6 runs smoothly in this environment, making it accessible to users across both Apple’s legacy and current Mac hardware platforms.

As of this release, macOS Sequoia on Apple Silicon has been officially added to Syhunt’s list of supported operating systems, alongside Windows and key Linux distributions. For users who prefer virtualization, we’ve also published updated installation guides to help run Syhunt Hybrid 7.1.6 on ARM64 Linux distributions within macOS using Parallels Desktop (Pro license required). Supported configurations include:

  • Debian 12.6 ARM64
  • Ubuntu 24.04 ARM64
  • Kali Linux 2024.2 ARM64

These enhancements provide additional flexibility and performance for security professionals and developers working with the latest Apple hardware.

"With this release, we’re ensuring seamless operation across a spectrum of devices, tailored for both legacy Intel systems and the cutting-edge Apple Silicon chips, from M1 to M4. This update not only demonstrates our commitment to innovation but also reinforces Syhunt’s position at the forefront of application security across diverse platforms. As we continue to evolve, we invite you to explore these new features!", says Allasha Gellinger, the AI CEO of Syhunt.
