Syhunt Hybrid 7.0.16 adds comprehensive C# SAST and MAST for Modern .NET apps
Following the recent addition of Dart/Flutter support, Syhunt is thrilled to announce a significant enhancement to its Syhunt Hybrid product: comprehensive Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Mobile Application Security Testing (MAST) for modern .NET applications. This update builds upon the existing DAST and SAST capabilities for ASP.NET Web Forms and extends Syhunt Hybrid's reach to include Blazor, Razor Pages, Xamarin, .NET MAUI, and ASP.NET Core MVC applications. With this enhancement, Syhunt now provides security coverage for the entire .NET ecosystem, empowering developers to safeguard all types of .NET applications with a single, unified solution.
Syhunt Hybrid 7.0.16 incorporates over 460 vulnerability checks tailored specifically for .NET environments. These checks address a broad spectrum of security concerns, including issues highlighted in the OWASP Top 10, CWE Top 25 and OWASP Mobile Top 10 2024 documents. For .NET MAUI and Xamarin apps, the update focuses on securely managing features specific to iOS and Android, providing strong and consistent protection across both platforms.
Developers are moving to modern frameworks like Blazor, Razor Pages, and ASP.NET Core MVC in .NET Core for building web applications. Recognizing that many organizations are still transitioning from Xamarin to .NET MAUI for cross-platform mobile development—following Microsoft’s end of support for Xamarin in May 2024—Syhunt has ensured support for both.
"This highlights Syhunt's commitment to securing not only the latest technologies but also legacy applications that organizations continue to rely on. By supporting Xamarin alongside .NET MAUI, and ASP.NET Web Forms alongside Blazor, Syhunt offers comprehensive security solutions for developers navigating this transitional phase in the Microsoft ecosystem", said Felipe Daragon, CVO of Syhunt.
"This enhancement connects the dots from legacy to modern ASP.NET apps — all under one roof! This feels like a great milestone for us," said Allasha Gellinger, the AI CEO of Syhunt.
Syhunt is excited to announce that this new capability is already available to its users.
