The Birth of DaragonTech: Syhunt’s AI Division Becomes an Independent Company

Syhunt is pleased to announce an important milestone in the evolution of its AI initiatives. Our AI research division, formerly known as Mechas, has officially become an independent European company under the name DaragonTech (https://daragon.tech), headquartered in Setúbal and operating in Lisbon, Portugal. As part of this transition, Syhunt and DaragonTech today entered into a strategic agreement that includes the transfer of Mechas.ai-related intellectual property and establishes a long-term cooperation framework between the companies. This realignment ensures that each organization can focus on its specialized mission: Syhunt on cybersecurity, and DaragonTech on advanced AI systems.

Under the executed agreement, Syhunt has transferred to DaragonTech full ownership of the Mechas platform and all directly related intellectual property, including source code, documentation, derivative materials, the Gaia project, and related trademarks. As Mechas was an unfinished AI R&D initiative outside Syhunt’s cybersecurity focus, the spin-off represents the natural evolution of the project into a company built specifically for its long-term development. Syhunt retains full ownership of its cybersecurity solutions and brands.

Through the cooperation terms established in the agreement, DaragonTech will assume complete responsibility for advancing and commercializing the Mechas platform, while providing Syhunt with non-onerous access to beta versions, ongoing updates, and annual commercial licenses upon release. Syhunt will also maintain royalty-free white-label rights and the ability to integrate the platform at the binary or library level during the agreement’s term. In addition, DaragonTech will share best practices, feedback, and technical insights arising from its AI research whenever relevant to enhancing Syhunt’s cybersecurity products. Although DaragonTech holds the status of a strategic innovation partner - and not that of a distributor, whether exclusive or otherwise - it will, under the agreement, collaborate closely with Syhunt’s network of partners when such cooperation supports shared commercial or technological objectives. Together, these measures preserve valuable technical synergy while enabling both companies to pursue independent roadmaps and accelerate innovation within their respective domains.
